Clearshield Glass Australia

Hi-Tech Glass Coating became a licensed applicator of Clearshield and other Ritec products in 2002. Since then it has enjoyed growth and success as an onsite applicator in Australia. Warren Phillips, Director of Hi-Tech Glass Coating, has over 40 years experience in the glass industry.

In 2005 Hi-Tech was appointed Distributor of the ClearShield System. This technology has allowed the company to become a leader in the renovation, protection, and easy maintenance of all glass surfaces. This technology is now being used as a problem solver in the Building and Marine Industry.

In November, 2006 Ritec International approached Hi-Tech Glass Coating and offered them the Marketing partnership agreement for Australia. This would mean an even greater challenge and expansion of the business as the new national marketing company for the Ritec System. The contracts were signed the following January with both companies moving forward in their approach to the Australian market place. This change in direction resulted in Hi-Tech Glass Coating (Aust) Pty. Ltd. changing its trading name to CLEARSHIELD GLASS TECHNOLOGY (AUSTRALIA) Pty. Ltd.

The following year saw Warren's son, Wayne, join the company as Marketing Director and has since grown the company aggressively. In 2009 the company was appointed as the Marketing Partner and Distributor for New Zealand and a new company, Clearshield Glass (New Zealand) Pty Ltd, was formed to service this market.

In the last 7 years ClearShield Glass Technology has completed a wide range of projects all over Australia. Warren is quick to point out that his company’s success is due to the innovative ClearShield System, the total commitment of the company, and the expertise of the trained applicators throughout Australia, all of which would be without value if the product didn't offer significant and unique benefits to both the commercial and domestic customers.

The History of Clearshield Glass

It all began in London in 1982 with the advent of a new technology in glass surface protection. The market potential was immediately realised. After extensive research and modifications to the original formula ClearShield was introduced to the marine industry. With its successful performance in the harsh marine environment, ClearShield was introduced to the architectural market for application to commercial and industrial buildings and ultimately to the shower enclosure, decorative and residential window markets. Today, the ClearShield system enables the application to glass surfaces in either factory or field settings.

ClearShield has a 25+ year proven track record of success with distributors and applicators around the world and has been applied to glass in many well known and recognizable projects, including: Lloyds of London, Princess Cruise Lines, the Queen Elizabeth II, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, The Orient Express, Hilton Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels, Disney World in Orlando, Euro Disney; railway stations in Holland, Australia, Sweden, Japan and England; airport control towers in the United States, Hong Kong, England, Thailand, Scotland, Sweden and New Zealand and many more.
