1. PERFORMANCE

a) ClearShield Glass resists staining and is easier to clean than ordinary glass. In most cases, it requires cleaning less than half as often.

b) The service life of ClearShield Glass depends mainly on:

(i) Atmospheric abrasion from wind and sand;
(ii) Abrasive or alkaline cleaning products;
(iii) Alkalinity from hard water deposits and runoff from building materials
such as concrete and brickwork.

c) To extend the service life of ClearShield Glass, CSA has developed a special range of cleaning products, which contain no abrasives, do not leave a film or residue and neutralise alkalinity.

d) As a general guideline, when the recommended cleaning program is followed, the service life of ClearShield Glass installed into shower enclosures is three - five (3-5) years depending on water conditions in a domestic application.

e) ClearShield Glass performs indefinitely, a simple “booster” application can be applied whenever the service life nears its end, i.e. the performance of ClearShield Glass becomes noticeably reduced in terms of ease of cleaning and resistance to staining.

f) Provided ClearShield is applied according to CSA’s standard instructions it will become an integral part of the glass surface and perform as described above.

2. SUPPLY

a) CSA administers a strict quality control program on all products prior to dispatch and will provide upon request a certification of quality for each shipment.

b) Responsibilities of the ClearShield Glass Marketer include routine quality checks after application, using CSA’s standard test procedures, to ensure that:

The ClearShield bonds chemically and becomes an integral part of the glass surface;

(i) The ClearShield bonds chemically and becomes an integral part of the glass
surface.
(ii) A uniform coverage is achieved across the glass surface.

c) If ClearShield is applied according to CSA’s standard instructions and does not react chemically with the glass as measured by CSA’s standard quality test, CSA will replace the product involved at no extra charge.
